I just hung this thing up in the closet where I hang my tools. So far it's holding 9 screwdrivers, 3 chisels, a 16 oz and a 22 oz hammer, and finally a 2 lb. sledge. (I tried hanging the monkey wrench, but I think that was too much for the magnet with everything else on it. Believe me, there isn't room for it anyway.) This magnet is STRONG! I was worried that the tools might fall off easily, but I don't see that being a problem now.
Basically, I'm really impressed with how great this thing works, and I plan on buying a few more for my shop and around the house. Just be sure to screw it into the studs or something that will hold all of the weight that you'll put on it. I have ordered this product before. I use one in my kitchen for my knives and keep them near the stove and counter top. There's one in the barn for my tools there and the new ones are in the garage for additional tools I use in the house frequently. The magnet is strong and will even hold a hammer or pipe wrench yet it is easy to remove the tool.
Great device! Recommend it highly! Will eventually have the need for another. 5 of 5 people found the following review helpful: By Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: Neiko 24-Inch Magnetic Tool Rack - The Most Efficient Tool Storage (Misc.) These work fine but the item I received is a little different than what's in the picture. The screw holes are not in the ends as shown in the picture but on vertical tabs welded to the back that stick up. The "Yellow" stripe is actually a piece of tape that is not really attached to the magnets. It just sort of hangs there begging to be pulled off. Maybe the yellow tape is just there to protect the magnets during shipping? But then why show it in the picture? This item is a good value but the design is not top quality. |
