I've used the bucket boss brand which is very durable and well designed- except that it hangs on your neck which gives me posture problems. There is a cross-back bucket boss apron but it is of light weight construction. I've been using the throw-away light-weight white (CLC?) cross back 12 pocket apron which actually is pretty comfortable for me (Average build, 5'11") but tools wear through it pretty quick.
The Ergodyne is light and very sturdy for the price. Pockets are a little larger than average. Hammer loops are strong and narrow side pockets fit a Stabilo torpedo level perfectly. After 5 months of almost always wearing it for 45 hr work week the only failure is some of the stitching at bottom edge of large chest pocket ( A little adhesive caulk does the trick :) ) So no five stars but would do 4 1/2 if I could. There was no pulling on the neck an fit the body well so there was nothing loose to potentially get caught up in machinery. |
