I ordered this chest for Christmas and arrived with the front right corner damaged. Returned item and replacement had damage on both front corners. Returned the replacement and the next one had slight damage on both corners. I have elected to keep this item. I was able to mend the buckled areas, again on both front corners. This item was not packaged by Amazon but someone damaged 3 chests either in the warehouse or in shipping. I paid for a damage free item and actually never received one. Not really happy but I am tired of returning the same item over and over again. I feel I should be compensated in some fashion. As far as the actual performance of the chest, the lid and drawers seem to work just fine. This is a medium duty chest and should work in a home garage very well. I used the top row of three drawers for my pliers the next 2 for wrenches and screwdrivers and the bottom for my ratchets and sockets.
