If you love Festool equipment like I do, you're used to the prices (and attendant quality). With limited space this setup offers only one advantage: you can open each systainer without disconnecting it from the stack. Over time you'll be grateful to have these, but they ought to think of a way to make them more cost effective. The drawers do move easily. Just take a rubber mallet and knock the front portion of the runner upward. When that's loose, pull the entire runner out. If you have trouble putting them back into your slot of choice, just take a screwdriver and wedge the clips open a tiny bit and they go back in easier. Also, be careful when you open the packaging because in most cases the hardware that connects the wheels has come loose and is rolling around inside the drawer cabinet. I have eight of these and like them--I just think they ought to be priced at $450 or so.

I bought 3 of these from Amazon and 2 of the 3 were severely damaged during shipping.
I contacted Amazon and I returned the damaged ones no problem. They had one more in stock so they sent me a replacement and guess what that one was damaged too.
I am not talking about a little scratch here, one of the cabinets was bent so bad on the one side that the ball bearings were knocked out of the drawer slide.
I then bought 3 more from another online Festool dealer and they where received in perfect condition. They shipped them via freight which I guess costs more.
I will never buy these again from Amazon as they don't protect them for shipping.
The product itself is great but expensive. I really like the way I can wheel them around my garage with little effort. All the components are top quality.
Changing the positions of the drawer slides can be a little tough, I suggest wearing some gloves to protect your knuckles.
I will probably buy 2 more of...Read more

It's a FESTOOL,

I too was grumpy about the price - until I put it into service. FESTOOLs aren't cheap, and the Systainer Port is no exception.
It is, like my other FESTOOLS, well made and designed to work extremely well. Changing shelf position isn't hard as the metal drawer frames ride on ball bearing full extension euro slides. I had only to use hand pressure to get the inner drawer slide loose per the instructions so I could move the shelves about. I like the 2 locking caster wheels and the dense rubber mat on the top surface which both protects sharp edges and keeps things from skittering around like they would on bare metal.
Attaching the caster wheels takes either a (17mm?) offset wrench or a box wrench - a crescent or open wrench won't fit.
I buy FESTOOLs because I believe they work exceptionally well and should outlast me. The real insight is that I plan to buy another.
