Where do I start? I bought this from direct from Grizzly's website. It is not a grizzly quality product. The metal is very thin and bends easily. The corners of 4 of 5 shelves were bent and the paint was cracked preshipment (there was rust under the paint). It came with no instructions, no tools, and the hardware package had spilled in the box. The metal braces are forged in pairs of two - requiring you to split them apart. This is easily done by simply bending them back and forth a few times. (I said the metal was thin) You should have a good cordless drill on hand with a Phillips #3 bit and a 7/16" box end wrench. It took about 2 hours to tighten the 120 bolts and nut sets. (I'm not kidding) Once together, it seems fairly solid. I'm really not sure about the 1000 lbs capacity claim.
