I wanted a belt sturdy enough to use when doing yard work or bicycling. I've ruined leather belts because I sweat so much doing these activities. If I hang any tools from the belt, it needs to be tight, which ends up distorting the holes, so I wanted a friction belt buckle. Finally, I wanted the belt to be nonmetallic so I could avoid having to take it off at Airports.
Amazon has lots of cool tactical belts that fit the bill, but they tend to cost three times as much and/or not be available through Prime. I was a little worried that this one at 1.5" wouldn't fit my belt loops, but so far it hasn't been an issue, although it's usually necessary to remove and re-insert the snap side of the buckle when changing trou.
I would as soon done without the advert, but the company has a proud history, and my shirt usually hides it anyway.

It is too lightweight and would be better if it was thicker. But, the color is amazing....all the guys at the jobsite are jealous. Perfect for a finishing pouch.
