Great for the tool room, great for the sewing room. I use it when I'm taking apart electronics and need to keep the screws from getting lost, for holding nails when working with wood, and even for holding pins when sewing. My ironing board is metal so it stays secure on the board when I'm doing intricate ironing work with pins and it quickly collects pins as I remove them when at the sewing machine. If I happen to spill a box of pins, the strong magentic bottom can be used to quickly sweep them up from the floor. They sell these now in sewing stores, but its cheaper to buy them from the hardware store.

I use this to hold small tools used with my quilting and sewing, and also for controlling pins. Be aware though, metal tools and objects can become magnetized by using this bowl. That hasn't been a problem for me. I have two of the magnetic bowls and use them all the time.

Great item to keep all your pieces together when assemblying somethin or repairing an item. Everyone needs these.
