I bought this bag to hold as many tools as possible. The number of inside and outside pockets on this thing is amazing. I especially found the outside pockets more useful than the inside ones to put all my smaller things. The outside pockets all close up either with velcro or zippers which is great. Because the outside pockets are pouches and not slit pockets found on other tool bags, you gain a lot more storage room beyond the standard specs of this bag (26x14x14).
As for the inside, you will lose a slight bit of storage room due to the rails for the retractable pulling handle, but not very much. What I think is neat are the two padded side pockets which look like gun holsters, but obviously made for drills. This is a great contractors/carpenters bag. It has tons of pockets on the outside for everything from safety glasses,to bandaids, to torpedo levels, cellphone, etc. The inside also has a couple of pockets/dividers which were designed for batteries but i use for my other smaller tools and sockets. The bag is large enough for me to fit a 2-foot nail bar, 2 framers hammers, tool belt with tools attached, hard hat, some extra shirts, 1 GAL water jug) and quite a bit of extra space for any special tools i may not normally carry. It has plenty, if not too much room, for most carpenters i know but i appreciate the extra space so i can fit whatever i need whenever i need it. The sides and top are padded which is a nice plus so that when i bang into things and the occasional person in NYC it doesn't hurt them or my tools so much. My only gripe with the bag so far is that the retractable pull handle has questionable quality as do the wheels. The retractable pull handle is already loose/wobbly...Read more
