This review is from: McGuire Nicholas 22217 Universal Tote 16-Inch Tool Bag (Tools & Home Improvement) I had been kicking around the idea of getting a tool tote for some time. Every time I did a project in the house I had to make 5 extra trips to grab tools I forgot the first time out. Then I had to make three trips to carry everything back out there when I was done. Like with many things, I was going to build one from wood when I had the time. The more I thought about it, the more I thought wood might be too heavy and it would ding up the walls when I inevitably bumped them. I ended up buying this tote because it looked good and the price was right. I am here to say that this tote is very well made and solves my tool carrying problems. The canvas/vinyl material that it is constructed from is super strong and just flexible enough to accommodate odd shaped tools when necessary. In it I can easily carry my DeWalt 14.4v drill/driver, a full set of bits, a tape measure, a square, a utility knife, a hammer, nail sets, and an assortment of screw drivers,...Read more 12 of 12 people found the following review helpful: By Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: McGuire Nicholas 22217 Universal Tote 16-Inch Tool Bag (Tools & Home Improvement) As a pool construction super I am required to carry a small number of tools with me in my work truck. Just normal hand tools, hammer, plyers, level, razors, hacksaw, etc., just the regular stuff.
If I need to do a repair I just grab this tote and head into the yard. It is well organized, easy to carry, and not too bulky. If it were bigger I would probably load it too full and stop carrying it, if it were smaller I would not be able to fit everything I need in it. This this is just right, I dont know how I ever lived using that bucket organizer thing prior to this. I am giving these away to my friends for Christmas next year. 10 of 10 people found the following review helpful: By Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?) This review is from: McGuire Nicholas 22217 Universal Tote 16-Inch Tool Bag (Tools & Home Improvement) However, it lacks some features you'd expect, e.g. Where is the loop for electrical tape? Where is the "catch" for a tape measure? One end of the bag has pockets for pencils, the other end is blank - a missed opportunity to add value? I bought two bags at Home Depot that have these features and more at about half the price. This bag is strudier, but lacks features I really want. Also, the HD bags were a shade longer, which is VERY HELPFUL when you want to carry a flat prybar or wonderbar and/or framing hammer. This bag isn't long enough for a framing hammer. |
