This is a great bag. Just got it, March 13, 2006. Dont know about durability because its new, but it has the material and construction to last a while.
There are 6 outside pockets. 3 on each side and all are covered and use velcro to close. The 2 shorter sides have a total of 4 mesh, open pockets.
On the inside, there are pockets gallor. Over ten interior pockets on both sides of the bag (5 or more pockets on each side). On each side, one of the interior pockets has a velcro flap and about 4x6 inches. Also, the pockets are bellowed/gusseted so they have give. They are not flat-sewn to the backing or small to fit screwdriver shafts. Rather, they are larger and can fit pliers etc.
The bag comes with a shoulder strap and is quite heavy. The only bad thing about the bag is that it is heavy. And if you live in Hawaii, no free shipping.
Otherwise, its a great bag and for 25 dollars, cant be beat.

The McGuire-Nicholas Cargo Bag could more appropriately be called a 'Cargo Carrier'. The bag could transport a small army of tools ... or an entire week's worth of food for Paul Bunyan's Mighty Ox, Babe. Sturdy construction means it isn't lightweight. Now, if it just had wheels it would be perfect. Both my McGuire Nicholas 16" Universal Tote and McGuire Nicholas 8" Electrician Maintenance Tote fit together inside this one bag and I can zip it closed! In my opinion, depending on what tools you plan to carry, this could get mighty heavy to lift.
If you have Paul Bunyan tools and a good back or good tools and a Paul Bunyan back than this is the bag for you. As for me, I will be...Read more

This is a great bag for tools. If it's good enough for tools then its good enough for anything else. My wife liked it so much she suggested buying another one even if just using it for luggage. I was ordering a tape measure with some other things when i saw that this bag came with a free tape measure. I cancelled my order for the other tape measure and ordered the bag and ended up only paying an extra $6 for this bag. Best deal ever. The bag and tape measure was 14.99 with super saver shipping.
