Product Description
With the handle in the forward or upright position with the drawers closed, all the compartments are in the locked position. With the handle in the backward position, all the compartments are unlocked. All toolboxes need a small margin of clearance so the drawers can slide in and out smoothly. The Lift-n-Lock closes these clearance gaps when it is in one of the locked positions. This means that even the smallest item placed in one of the drawers divided sections will not be able to jump sections while the Lift-n-Lock is locked. To test this, we used beads that are about 1/16 of an inch in diameter, finishing nails, and deck screws, then placed them in the various dividers of the Lift-n-Lock. We then proceeded to shake. The outcome was amazing considering the size of the beads. There was absolutely zero contamination from one compartment to another, or divider jumping .

Summary: Wonderful In Its Simplicity 2010-02-26
Comment: This is the kind of amazingly simple and wonderfully utilitarian device that you realize you coulda, shoulda, thought of it yourself.
This is going to be brief--
As a retired metal trades craftsman, I wish I'd had a toolbox like this when I was carrying one every day. I begrudge you smart folks who buy one of these all the hours you're going to save not having to pick up/resort your mixed parts and tools either because a latch failed or you simply forgot to latch or latched improperly. And I'm not sure, but I also think this box is going to reduce the incidence of jammed drawers--maybe even eliminate them.
I can't believe anybody who buys one of these would ever have reason to regret it.

Summary: Flight Line Field Box 2010-01-26
Comment: I'm using this as a field box for RC Aircraft and it's everything the manufacturer says it is. The top section is deep enough to hold a Sullivan starter w/power pack along with a radio if you're not concerned with it (radio) shifting around with room to spare. The video gives a very good description. The drawers lock as shown just insure they are fully closed, and it's made in the *U*S*A - not Communist China!

Summary: Best organizer ever 2009-12-19
Comment: I was looking for something to carry several different sizes of fasteners and other hobby related items outside where I fly rockets and airplanes. The chance of a toolbox getting knocked over or dropped or just falling over on uneven ground is greater than if you are just using it in your garage or basement.
The Lift-n-Lok works exactly as it says and fits my purposes very well. Everything I need fits in it and with just one movement the entire box is locked with no chance of things moving from compartment to compartment.
At first I thought the price was a little high but the old adage, "you get what you pay for" seems to fit here. This is a very high quality case. The drawers feel like they are on bearings and work very smoothly unlike most other plastic storage cases.
The only drawback I can find is that the size of the diameter of the handle is too large. It would be more comfortable to carry if trhe handle were a little smaller. The reason for the size may be the locking mechanism that it operates.
Great box. I'm thinking of buying another.
