This review is from: Stack-On RD-620 20-Inch 2-Drawer Portable All Steel Tool Chest (Tools & Home Improvement) After devoting days and weeks to finding the perfect tool box, I ordered the Stack-On RD-620.
It just arrived and I'm not entirely impressed. Here's some info that may be useful to you: The depth of the top compartment is: 4 1/4" (2 1/2" in the well plus 1 3/4" in the lid); not necessarily my idea of extra-deep. The drawers lock when the top compartment is shut. The handle is plastic, but thick and sturdy. Though it is steel, it's very thin and flimsy. It seems like it will dent easily. Slightly shifting the handle causes the entire top of the box to flex which makes me think I will pull it out of shape when carrying it loaded. Speaking of which, it's already quite heavy when empty and a bit awkward size-wise, so don't think you're going to fill it up. The box is okay, not perfect, but superior to any of the plastic tool boxes I viewed. |
