It's difficult to find an all steel toolbox made in the USA anymore. This fit the bill quite nicely. Decent size for hand tools. Has a lockable closure. Box is well made and nicely finished with metal handle. Looks like it should last a lifetime. Much better purchase than the chinese made plastic boxes offered at your local hardware store for the same price!

Only issue is hinge is not properly aligned between lid and box. This makes lid high on backside sloping down to meet lip on latch side. Creates slight gap between lid and box. Fortunately, lip/flange of box that lid rests on is large/wide enough that gap is covered so fairly good seal. Other than that, fairly good construction: boxed end panels so no gaps in corners and added rigidity, looks like solid handle attachment, metal latch, metal tote tray and even four small feet stamped into bottom of box to keep bottom off ground. This may or may not be a good idea depending on how much weight you're carrying in this box.
I needed a low profile metal box so for price listed ($23.99) not bad but not great. If larger size is not issue and for slightly more, may want to look around, notably the Craftsman metal tool boxes. Much better construction and Sears guarantee.

My son is happy with this and it fits his needs at a decent price. Sure glad Amazon was paying shipping on this. The box it came in was way oversized.
