I bought this needing a place to store my tools instead of just laying them in the cab of my truck. Tool box seems pretty sturdy, has ample storage room. as for the weather seal. i must say im very pleased. i forgot the box in the bed of my truck for 2 days. we have had three inches of rain also. i brought it in and dried it off. opened it up and was bone dry. would recommend any day

I have to be up front - I didn't buy this to be used as a tool box in the traditional sense. I bought it to be a protective carrier for a very expensive camera lens. That said, the hinge, handle, and latches are solid and the box is lockable. The water resistant seal appealed to me, though I haven't had a need to test it. I'm carrying around thirteen pounds of gear in the box and it's comfortable to carry and feels very solid. The tool box is rugged and has been in a lot of situations. It's been perfect for what I bought it to do. The top tray only covering 3/4 of the way is a part of what drew me to this design. Can't speak to how well it would handle if full of tools, but that would depend on the tools as this is a larger box - full of metal tools, it would get real heavy real quick and not sure how it would handle that kind of load.

First of all I bought mine at Wally world. I know some people would say it's Un-American, but parts of Stanley/ Bostitch's massive umbrella is overseas. Now on the topic of Wally world, they employ many Americans keep the global economy turning and provide services for many families who can't afford other stores prices! Also I got this very same box for $21 there!!! Anywho, this box fit my Makita hypoid saw, cordless drill, speed square, drill bits, and 3 saw blades.(why don't some worm gear saws come with boxes?) Pretty impressive! I tried my 36v Dewalt saw and seperately a DeWalt "sidewinder" with all the above items and they fit. Unsure if the divot/ruler molded into the lid will come in handy or not. The water "resistant" seal has a nice tight fit and seems to be made of good rubber. The tray is a cute accessory if you can use it, in my case not so much. Nice firm handle on the lid, nice clasps with a little lock hole. All in all, a great buy be carefull not to over pack...Read more
